Overview
Map, track, and coordinate CASIPA's innovation ecosystem across Canada and Africa. This role is for curious, structured individuals who can turn a complex landscape into organized, usable knowledge.
About This Role
As the Global Ecosystem Coordinator, you will support CASIPA's ecosystem intelligence — identifying startups, hubs, investors, universities, and innovation programs across 54 African countries and Canada. You will maintain ecosystem records, coordinate country-level knowledge, and help CASIPA understand who is building what, where. This role requires discipline. You will be expected to research independently, produce structured outputs, and keep CASIPA's ecosystem data current and reliable. Your work directly shapes how CASIPA engages the Canada-Africa innovation economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and map innovation ecosystems across African countries and Canada
- Maintain CASIPA's ecosystem records, directories, and country knowledge base
- Track startups, hubs, investors, universities, and innovation programs
- Support ecosystem engagement and partnership follow-up
- Produce structured ecosystem briefs for internal use
- Coordinate with department leads on ecosystem priorities
- Improve how CASIPA collects and organizes ecosystem intelligence

Selection Process
1. Application review by CASIPA team 2. Pre-screen conversation (15 to 20 minutes). Internship details, including structure, schedule, and terms, are discussed at this stage after application review 3. Ecosystem research task review 4. Final interview with CASIPA leadership 5. Offer and onboarding
Eligibility
Open to students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals with strong research and organizational skills. Remote participation accepted. Applicants from Canada and Africa are strongly encouraged to apply.
